In my ISU novel the narrator (unnamed) is fed up of his of his depressing life where he comes back home from a business trip to find out that his apartment has been destroyed by an explosion, he also faces insomnia and find himself constantly going to multiple support groups throughout the weekdays. He soon meets a guy named Tyler (his friend) at bar and they start to have a conversation,as soon the conversation was about to end Tyler say to meet him the at the local church basement the next. The narrator decides to go to the church the next and see's a group of people that have similar issues as he does in their lives. After talking to Tyler and the group of people they decide to make a boxing club called "Fight Club", where the people including the narrator take their problems out in physical manner. This song is relatable to my novel for the fact that the in the song the person is in this mental zone where he wants to just fight his struggles and overcome them. I can relate this to my novel with a qoute "Look, if you had, one shot or one opportunity.To seize everything you ever wanted in one moment. Would you capture it, or just let it slip?" This quote is highly relatable to the book because the narrator see's an opportunity which is the "Fight Club" where he can fight the problems that he is facing and be in this mental state where he can be far from his problems, or he could've backed away from it and continue to go to the multiple support groups during the weekdays.

Why is my life soo depressing, oh why?

I have lost hope in my life no one can help me, not even myself

I can never sleep no matter how hard I try

It's like my eyes have their own brain telling them when to open and shut themselves

Why do i feel like I have the need to fight my way out of through this depressing life 

As many problems I have in my personal life there's also as many that iface in my work life

I sit in this small squashed cubicle working for 8 hours a day every day

Not getting payed much for the work that I do

I feel like vomiting every time I go to work

I dont want to see anyone , I just wanna get away from them!!

Why is my doctor telling me to go to these supportive groups.

You see the same faces every day, the same ones that cry with and without you

Why can't my life be full of joy and happiness?

I think about this all day and everyday, why?

Character Description

Ender:

- 6 Years old 

- Youngest out of all 3 siblings (Peter, Valentine)

- He's choosen by the IF to save mankind from the buggers 

Bernard:

-Ender broke his arm in the shuttle ride

-He's in Ender's Launch Group, also his best friend

- He's one of Ender's commander's to fight against the buggers

Bonzo:

-He's Ender's enemy 

- He gets jealous that Ender is smarter than him 

Petra:

-Helps Ender learn how to fight

-Friends with Ender 

Rose The Nose: 

-Ender commander of the Rat Army 

- Tries to control Ender 

Dink:

-Platoon leader

-Looks out for Ender 

Mazer:

-Is not freinds with Ender but he respects him

-Was forced to trick Ender that he was playing a game and nobody had won the war

                                                Journal Entry  

My relationship with kids that are from foreign country is pretty good. I remember this one time when a kid from India named Ishwinder that came into my grade 4 class and sat beside me on his first day. He started smiling like if someone painted my face and no idea about it. As the time passed by during the period we started talking and he told me many things about himself such as how his sister is planning to get married the following year so family members are searching for a bachelor that shares the same interest as her. He also told me about where he lived in India and he told me that his family owned some land. I asked him many questions regarding about the land that his family owned in India such as what vegetables does his family grows because my family also owns land in India. He told me that he didn’t for long time. I asked him why and he responded saying that times were tough so they sold the land and immigrated here. As the year progressed and we started to become close friends I started seeing some advantages being with him for example, if me and Ishwinder worked together for a project the teacher would come and help us with the project for the reason that Ishwinder is from a foreign country and doesn’t understand English fluently. As much as advantages there were, there were also may drawback such as showing Ishwinder around the school during class when the teacher gave us time in class to do our homework. My interactions with Ishwinder with very unique because since were the only 2 Indian kids in the classroom we’d usually talked in our native languages so that the kids in the classroom didn’t know what we were talking about. My overall experience with Ishwinder was great, probably the best one I ever had yet. I can say this because we had many great moments together in and out of class and also experience many high’s and low’s as well.
